Fancied trying to make this after I'd had it at Char No. 4 in Brooklyn (or a similar version, anyway). I used this recipe courtesy of Bon Appetit, minus the egg - which I wasn't sure about. It was really good...comfort food for a rather cold and damp English summer's evening
